I. User’s Acknowledgment and Acceptance of Policy

This privacy policy describes the manner in which Stepworks Recovery Centers, LLC (“Stepworks”) uses and protects the information you give when you use the Recovering(me) Service. Stepworks is committed to protecting your privacy. If we ask you to provide information by which you can be identified, we assure you that it will be used in accordance with this privacy policy.
Stepworks may change this policy by updating this page, so we encourage you to check this page periodically. This policy was updated on January 31, 2019.

II. Information Collected

Recovering(me) may collect the following information:

Registration and Account. We may require users of the Recovering(me) Platform to provide an email address and password in order to register for an account.

Billing Information. In order to purchase a subscription to the Recovering(me) Platform, users are asked to submit payment and billing information, including name, address, phone number, email address, and credit card information.

User Profile. We may collect personal information from you, such as your public profile name, birthday, gender, drug of use if applicable, and ethnicity, which you voluntarily submit in the process of filling out your user profile information.

Activity. We may retain data related to your activity on and use of the Recovering(me) Platform, including lesson and quiz completion, forum interactions, badges earned, friend requests sent, engagement in the Recovering(me) Plus and Pro services, and other information.

Private Messages & Forums. We may retain any private messages or forum interactions you send to other users or staff of the Recovering(me) Platform.

Support. Users may submit questions and requests for help through the Contact Us page Contact Form or the Help Widget displayed throughout the Site and App. We collect the name and email address of each request for support and may retain the contents of the support messages.

Mailing List. When you register for an account with Recovering(me), we may add your email address to our mailing list and periodically send you updates about the Recovering(me) Platform, including special offers, new features, requests for feedback, or other information. Users may voluntarily opt out of receiving these email communications by following the directions to unsubscribe contained in the email. Users may also make changes to the kind and number of emails they receive about their activity on the Recovering(me) Platform by accessing their Profile “Settings” tab on the desktop version of the Platform.

Analytics Partners and Cookies. Recovering(me) uses the services of analytics partners which collect anonymous data in order to help us understand how our platform is used. Our analytics partners may collect cookies from you when you use the platform. Cookies are small text files stored in your browser when you visit a website that indicate the time and date of your visit and your activity on the website. You may disable cookies by following the instructions provided by your operating system or browser. Please note that by disabling cookies, you might lose some functionality of the Recovering(me) Platform.

Recovering(me) also uses the services of Apple Analytics.

III. What We Do With the Information

  1. We use it to understand your needs and provide better service including referencing specific programs for your needs.
  2. We use it for internal record keeping and product/service improvement.
  3. We use it to improve our products and services.
  4. We use it to test the products and to show de-identified anonymous data for case studies. We may aggregate user data for purposes of developing content and ensuring relevant advertising content, but such data will not personally identify individual users.
  5. We may periodically use it to send promotional materials to you.
  6. We use it to contact you and communicate about our services, as this is the express purpose of tools like the site contact form.

IV. Security

Any information you provide using this website is managed in a secure way using password protected technology and appropriate organizational policies. This platform is not HIPAA protected. Please use caution in revealing any personal health or financial information on the site.

V. Note About Profile Information

Any information you voluntarily submit while completing your profile may be publicly displayed by default, allowing any others users on the Recovering(me) Platform to view it. Please do not submit information that you wish to remain private into your public profile fields. When filling out your profile, you may opt to make some fields private so that they cannot be viewed by other users of the Recovering(me) Platform.

VI. Note About Public Names

When users register for an account and create a profile, they are given the option to designate a “Public Name” that identifies them to other users of the Recovering(me) Platform. Users may not use their real or legal names as their Public Names.

VII. Site Analysis Technology

Information such as the user’s IP address, the referring domain, geographic location, time/duration of visit, entry/exit page, and other like statistics is automatically gathered using web analytics tools in a way that is now standard practice. This information is only used to improve the quality and effectiveness of our website.

VIII. Outbound Links

Periodically, our application may contain outbound links to other applications. When following an outbound link, you must recognize that we have no control over the site or application to which you are navigating. We provide outbound links because we think the information contained therein may be of interest or usefulness to our application visitors, but we do not take responsibility for any site or application to which we link. Links are a useful part of the experience, but we acknowledge the inherent risks of navigating from application to application.

IX. Controlling your Information

You may restrict the collection of your information by:
